How can some companies charge as little as $9.95 per room and others charge $30-$40 per room. It is a very simple question to answer. It is called bait and switch. You've all heard the stories of the little old lady that gets suckered in by these scams. Company X gets you to call them with the promise of cheap carpet cleaning only to get into her home and end up charging her 5X, 10X or even 20 times the amount. The $9.95 price was the bait to get them in the door, the switch happens once they are in.
Let me give you a little insight to the business of carpet cleaning. Just like all businesses, legitimate carpet cleaners have expenses. To name a few of them, Van payment/maintenance, advertising, cleaning products, employees, employee taxes, insurance(s), office/internet/phones, fuel, repairs, etc... In most cases, it costs a min of $50-$75 just to have a van drive to your home, and that doesn't even cover the cost of paying the employee. So you tell me, how can a legitimate carpet cleaner make a living by charging $9.95 per room? The answer, it is literally impossible. Just like anything in life, there is no such thing as something for nothing. As you also know, you get what you pay for. If you want a true professional cleaning by a legitimate company then plan to pay in the neighborhood of $30-$40 per room. Also, to avoid these scammers, make sure the company you use is certified, licensed and insured, and for us all of our prices are listed on our site for you to see before we ever step in your home, and we never use bait and switch tactic
It's really a good question but we can't tell the exact answer. Generally the carpet cleaning is different as all the room are not in the same size and shape. If you hire professional for the cleaning purpose then charge money for each room. And a report that I found from other source: per room the carpet cleaning charge should be $25 to $75 or we can say the average charge is $51 per room. Another type of cleaning is there i.e. dry cleaning or steam cleaning. For this type of cleaning the professional charge $180 to $544 for entire house.
